Turf

Turf is available on a weekly basis at Nu-grow. You can pre-order your grass & pick up directly from our yard or we can arrange for delivery direct to your property. For small orders we generally have them delivered to our yard on a Friday or Saturday morning. Orders over 10mtrs or so may be able to be delivered during the week by pre-arrangement. Customers can order different quantities, ranging from 1 slab to a whole yard full. Nugrow staff can also arrange for delivery of under turf & lawn orders. Laying of your new lawn can also be arranged at an economical cost per metre if required.

Blue Couch

Green/Blue in colour. Leaf blade width 5-8mm and can be keep between 2.5-4.5cm in length. Extremely hardy grass. Suitable for high traffic areas, lawns & sporting fields. Grows best in
direct sunlight. Native grass to coastal areas of Australia.

Winter Green

Olive-green in colour. A finer leaf then blue couch. A hard wearing turf that is low maintenance & recovers well from stress. Best grown in full sun requires at least 6-7hrs of direct sun per day. Suitable for busy families & pets. Requires mowing 10-14day.

Palmetto

Deep green in colour. A “Buffalo Grass” known for its shade tolerant qualities-needs 1-2hrs of indirect sunlight a day. Tolerant to both hot & cold temperatures, and for its ability to hold its colour in winter time. Compared to “Sir Walter” (which requires 2-3hrs of in-direct sunlight), Palmetto is a slower growing grass and holds its colour for longer in winter time.

Empire Zoysia

Empire Zoysia Turf grows Australia Wide and provides a lawn which is easy to look after. It has a relatively fine leaf which is soft to the touch and has excellent wear tolerance, it thrives in extreme heat and humidity.Empire Zoysia is good in the shade and maintains a good colour in winter and it can generally outcompete the weeds once established. Empire Zoysia generally requires less watering & less mowing than any other Australian commercially grown lawn.
